My First Test, School and Life Update
I just took my first test and made a 94! I was hoping for a perfect score...but it's still an 'A' and I'll take it! Now, if I can just keep the grades up, I'll be a very happy camper! I'm waiting for my group project score to be posted from last class...
Grading for my Law Office Management class is as follows:
Midterm - 100 points Value 30% (this is the test I just took)
Final - 100 points Value 40%
Group Projects (5 projects) 100 Points Value 30% (my group pulled a perfect score on our first project and we're waiting for the scores on our second project to be posted...)
I won't have a midterm for "Intro to Law" only a final. Our instructor doesn't really teach much in that class so I'm kind of at a loss of what to study. Guess I just need to memorize the text book and I'll be all set, right? (ugh!)
I've made a new friend in paralegal school. We'll be keeping the same schedule at least through the end of this year. She sent me an email earlier today letting me know that things were a little rough in her family right now because her husband is facing being laid off in the very near future due to the bad economy. This is one of those moments in life where I have a funny little feeling that I'm not only in paralegal school to learn....but maybe God has me there to minister too! If you think about it, pray for me...that God would use me as a testimony of His Faithfulness! She mentioned praying about her family situation, so I'm unsure if she is a genuine believer or not. Time will tell!
I'm still visiting churches up here. Sunday's church ended up being a no go! I was very disappointed...I had been so excited thinking that I had found a great church. Websites can be deceiving sometimes. I was very disappointed to find that the church supported women in Reverend and Deacon positions. =( Needless to say, I will not be going back. Thus the search continues!
Tomorrow morning I'll be up at 4:30 to take my roommate to the airport. I'm sure I will probably be reminding myself how much I love her over a large cup of coffee at some point tomorrow morning! =)
