First Lady Fashions - Do or Don't?

My first thought was "White?!?! Did she really wear white???" While her dress may be "hip and in" and very elegant, I think it's safe to say the First Lady struck out on a figure flattering selection leaving her first steps into society as "The President's Wife" with something to be desired.

Her selection for the swearing in was slightly better. At first I thought she might be in competition with Queen Elizabeth but it's grown on me in the last couple of days. There is, however, much controversy over the selection of gloves and shoes. I'll leave you to be your own judge.
I'm still unsure if the First Lady is a fashion do or don't, but if nothing else, I guess we can say the Obamas are styling the Change!

  1. I liked the ball dress, though it wasn't the best color for her (or really anyone that doesn't wear a size 0.
But I did not like the suit at all. I'm not a fan of gold much at all and just kind of made me gag a little bit.

  2. Best blog ever!!!! I soo was going blog about this but you beat me. As for the horrible suit lemon whatchmacalit, It should be burned & her stylist should be fired. She is not Jackie O & she should not dress like her, she is far from the small size & timeless beauty of Mrs.O. Just because a dress has Jackie O structure does not mean it is still classy when you put faux stones & ribbon on it. This is the time of HD Mrs. First Lady we can see everything. Oh yeah I did not think it was appropriate for the occasion either.
I admit I watch to much fashion police ;-)
