The Rains Came Down...

...And The Floods Rose Up.

My word! Does anyone out there have an Ark? It's been pouring rain for a solid week in Atlanta and now there are floods everywhere. Driving to work this morning was a mess. Spaghetti Junction was closed down and a lot of exits weren't accessible due to flood waters.

Schools all over the greater Atlanta area were either canceled or have let out early due to weather. Two lives have been claimed and right now the news is reporting a toddler missing in connection with the flooding. Possible drowning? I'm not sure.

I've been watching the storms roll in and out of Atlanta all day. The advantages to being 22 stories up with a city scape view. It's pretty amazing, but I'm a little nervous about going home tonight. The sky has turned so dark it looks like it should be about 8 O'clock in the evening but it's only 2:30 in the afternoon. Friends from all over Atlanta have been talking about floods, closed exits, re-routing commutes, horrible lightening storms....and since starting this post there are now officially 3 deaths being reported.

Forecast for the rest of this week: more of the same. God keep us safe in all this craziness.
