So Much Life Being Lived At Once
I'm long overdue for a general life update. It seems like every conversation I'm having these days is related to the wedding. As exciting and as much fun as all of that is, I do realize that every once in a while it's refreshing for your friends and family as well as yourself to talk about other topics. Taking that to heart....this post is just a general life update.
I talked about resolutions earlier this year. Let's just say, the last month has proven to show little to no positive results other than a few trips to the gym, a couple stabs at cleaning my room (WHEN DO I HAVE TIME???)sigh...I'll get there if I just keep trying.
Can I just say Tim Tebow rocks??? I'm not even talking about his football history. Set that aside for a moment. I read an article yesterday about how he took a date to an awards ceremony. The press later discovered that the girl he escorted is partially deaf, has an unexplained tremor and was diagnosed with a brain tumor in Nov. Her dream was to meet Timmy at a reception in Orland. When he heard she was there and her story, he went and made friends with her and asked her to be his date to the next evening's ceremonies. What a heart of compassion!
Living with my brother has been a huge blessing! Not only is it a financial blessing at the moment, but I do just love being around the kids and building a stronger Auntie relationship with them. Speaking of, we've had three birthday's at their house recently. Nathan turned 10 (HOLY MOLY I'M OOOOOLD)Caitlin is now 8 and Justin is 3! "Uncle Shaun" (almost) and I are taking the 3 munchkins to birthday breakfast this weekend to celebrate.
We had good intentions of doing the b-day breakfast last weekend, but God decided that 18 degrees wasn't cold enough for Atlanta. Apparently we needed 6 inches of snow JUST to make sure we'll be really grateful when it warms up again. Ok, Lord, we've got it. Can it be warm now? Needless to say 6" of snow kind of hinders going out, but staying home and having snowball fights and building snowmen was quite the refreshing change.
I find myself driving all over the world these days. Ok, it's only Atlanta, but it sure feels much bigger. Work is 44 miles from home and home is 40 miles from Shaun and Shaun is 30 miles from work. I CAN'T wait to stop driving all over kingdom come once life settles down in another 5 months.
Work has become especially busy lately. I'm taking on more and more paralegal duties ALL the time, yet not relinquishing any of my current position. Balancing everything has become a new level of challenge at work, but so far no complaints. I'm loving learning new things all the time, but I must confess that the weight the new responsibilities carry make me just a little nervous.
In the midst of all the craziness, my "little" sister is getting married six weeks before I do. This weekend I'm going to pick up my bridesmaid dress for her wedding and I think it's going to hit me. HEATHER IS GETTING MARRIED!!! I'm thrilled for her and can't wait for her special day.
LOST is proving to be a puzzle. Anyone else out there keeping up with it? I mean really I keep thinking we're about to get answers then boom, another mystery. I take my hat off to the writer/producers of this show. It's been incredible. I'm just hoping I don't get to the end of 6 years worth of TV for them to tell their viewers that the show was about the journey and not the end. That would stink.
That should be a good enough update for now. Lunch is over and I'm back to the grinding stone. Thanks for stopping by the blog!
