Catching Up
Day 7: Friends - I am grateful for the special people that God has brought into my life, who love me, invest in me, celebrate life with me, are sad with me. When God created friendship he made a beautiful thing that leaves a mark on your heart forever.
Day 8: My Job - I am so grateful to have a job in an economy that is struggling. I feel further blessed that my job is something I truly LOVE to do. I am blessed that God has chosen to provide for our family and grateful for all the wonderful people I get to work with each day!
Day 9: Medicine - Could you imagine life without medicine? Have you looked at a 3rd world country lately? It is amazing how a simple over the counter drug saves our lives every day and we don't even think twice about it or the fact that we can vaccinate ourselves to prevent widespread diseases that once claimed lives. $10 and a 10 minute trip to any store and I've got enough over the counter drugs to cure most common ailments. America, we are truly blessed with Drs. and modern medicine!
Day 10: Life - Imagine what your family would look like if you weren't in it. For some of us that means our children wouldn't be here, happiness would be missing or someone would have never married. I am so grateful that I get to live. Yes, life has it's ups and downs, moments to hate and moments to love, but I am grateful for all of them. The tough times grow me stronger, the happy times soften the hard times and you can't see the beauty of the valley unless you've struggled your way to the mountain peak!
Day 11 : Veterans - Wow! What an incredible gift so many men and women have given us! Freedom to go to work, vote, worship, live, buy, sell, you name it. I am grateful for our veterans and their families for all that they have put on the line for my freedoms! And I'm especially grateful for my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents that have served in wars, during peace and in every branch of our Armed Forces!
Day 12: Food - I often take this one for granted. Three meals a day with snacks all inbetween and rarely do I stop to think that somewhere in this world right now, someone would be grateful for even a crumb of what I eat on a daily basis. God is so good to us. Even when Dad lost his job for 2 years, we still had 3 meals a day. We truly live in the land of plenty. I am grateful that my tummy is always full.
