Florence - Where the food is AMAZING!

When I think of our time in Florence, the first thing that comes to mind is FOOD! Seriously, I would travel back there just to have dinner. Ironically enough, I didn't actually take any pictures of food while we were there. Sad face, but I can still taste the flavors.

Happy 30th Birthday to me! Nothing like spending the day in a beautiful city with the love of my life. This is the view from our bedroom window.

Out and about checking out the sights and the market. Shaun surprised me and bought me a real leather purse! My first grown up purse and my first grown up souvenir too! He knows how to spoil me for sure.

Can't remember the name of this church, but it was breathtaking! We even climbed to the top of the dome. It was so incredibly high and covered with amazing paintings.  I have no idea how they got up there so high to paint it, but I could have stared at it for hours if it wasn't for the snappy guard pushing us along.

Street artist beginning a chalk drawing.

A few hours later, he's almost done! Amazing talent!

Our evening stroll. I think this might be my most favorite photo of us from the trip.

Pinocchio - was all over Florence.

Another church in the courtyard outside our hotel

Blurry, but the view from the terrace of our hotel. It was lovely sitting out there eating birthday cannoli and hanging out with my lovie! He wrote me the sweetest birthday card and it was the perfect ending to our lovely day!

Lovely views of the city

I got had! I asked the gellaterian if I could get three flavors and she said, "sure you can!" So....$20 later, I walked out with a cone a foot high. The two of us couldn't eat it all. Woops!
